Beatrice Faumuina is one of New Zealand’s most experienced and successful athletes.

In 2005 she was awarded, Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to Athletics 

A sporting career that started by performing in a small part of the sea section at the 1990 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.

1997 New Zealand's First World Track and Field Champion-Discus Throw

1996 - 2008 Four Time Olympian

2004 New Zealand Flag Bearer and Team Captain

1994- 2006 Four Commonwealth Games Representative

1998 and 2002 Champion and Commonwealth Games Record Holder

1994 Silver Medallist

2002 New Zealand’s First World Cup Champion- Discus Throw

Since annoucing retirement in October 2011, she is now Chief Executive Officer for BEST Pasifika Leadership Acadmey and Charitable Foundation. "Committed to developing the next Generations of Pasifika Leaders for Aoteroa"
